FAQs

Q: Do you use essential oils or fragrance oils?

A: We use fragrance oils.

Q: What are the ingredients in your fragrance oils?

A: Unfortunately, we do not have an ingredients list. The fragrances and flavors are composed of proprietary blends and these formulas are protected under the Fair Packaging and Labeling Act (FPLA). These formulas are regulated by the International Fragrance Association (IFRA) and are considered trade secrets. As an example, this is why you will often see only "fragrance" or "flavor" on the ingredients listings of everyday household products, hair and body products, toiletries, and food. The oils are Phthalate Free.

Q: Are sulfates in the fragrance oil?

A: No there are no sulfates in That’s That Magic. Sulfates are what create the bubbles 💭. Sulfates are detergents, or surfactants, commonly found in products like shampoo, body wash, face cleanser, and toothpaste (in addition to household cleaning products, like laundry and dish detergent). The most common sulfate-based ingredients found in personal care products are sodium lauryl sulfate and sodium laureth sulfate. "Sulfates act on the hair surface to remove dirt, sebum, and other product residues, and they also have properties that enable lather," explains Pantene senior scientist Rolanda Johnson Wilkerson, PhD.“Sodium lauryl sulfate is a degreaser in a sense. It allows for the food particles to be aided in their transition from our mouth, helping to achieve that ‘clean' feel. It gives that nice foaming action that we are known to get while brushing," adds Karen Fields-Lever, a dentist based in Chicago. Sulfates, which have been in used in personal-care products since the 1950s, are "the most commonly used detergents in the beauty industry," says cosmetic chemist Perry Romanowski.

Q: Does That’s That Magic come in any other scents?

A: No, That’s That Magic is only available in our tropical paradise scent.

Q: Is it safe to use almond oil on your skin?

A: Almond oil is generally considered safe to use on your skin. However, there are some safety precautions to keep in mind.

If you’re allergic to nuts, avoid using almond oil on your skin.If you’ve never used almond oil on your skin before, do a patch test before applying to your face. You can do a patch test by dabbing a small amount of almond oil on the inside of your wrist or elbow. If there are no signs of redness, itching, burning, or swelling within a few hours, the oil is likely safe to use on your skin.
